Bird flu is a severe infection of the wild birds with various strains of influenza viruses. Initially it is very difficult to detect the infected birds as most of the strains infecting the birds are not highly pathogenic and show very mild symptom. There are also viral strains which are highly pathogenic and shows prominent symptom. Domestic birds including the chicken are badly infected during the migratory season. In this season the wild birds which are infected carry the virus in their saliva or feces and thus domestic birds coming in contact get infected. The major reason for growing concern about bird flu is that it can also infect the human being due to genetic change that the virus can undergo by repeated infection
